Poetry Reading
Kevin Miller and Allen Braden to give poetry reading at WVC
Poets Kevin Miller and Allen Braden will give a poetry lecture and reading at Wenatchee Valley College on Friday, Nov. 18, in Eller-Fox Science Center room 3015 on the Wenatchee campus. The lecture starts at 12 p.m. and the poetry reading at 1 p.m.
The lecture will include a question and answer session on the life and craft of poetry. A book signing will follow the poetry reading.
Braden is the author of A Wreath of Down and Drops of Blood (University of Georgia Press, 2009). His work has also been published in The New Republic, Prairie Schooner, Virginia Quarterly Review, Shenandoah, Southern Review and Georgia Review. Braden is an instructor of English literature and humanities at Tacoma Community College.
Miller is the author of Home & Away: The Old Town Poems (Pleasure Boat Studio, 2008), Light That Whispers Morning (Blue Begonia Press, 1996) and Everywhere Was Far (Blue Begonia Press, 1998). Miller lives in Tacoma and has taught in Washington state public schools for more than thirty years.
